F.A.Q. - 1st Time Visitors

If you have never been to Silver Ridge Spa beofre or if this is your first ever Spa visit, below you will find the answers to some of the most common questions we are asked.

Question #1This is my first time at a spa. What can I expect?
Answer:When you enter Silver Ridge Spa, check-in at the reception desk. The Concierges will  will escort you to the Locker Room to change into a robe and spa slippers.

You will be asked to fill out a brief questionnaire. This will allow the therapist to know a little about your medical background. Please note that all information is strictly confidential and will be used solely for the purpose of your treatment. Take a few moments to relax, unwind and Breathe in our Relaxation Lounge..

For your  treatment our staff will take you to your treatment room and leave the room briefly so you will have an opportunity to disrobe and situate yourself on the treatment table under a sheet and blanket. Your body will be covered at all times during the treatment, with the exception of the part of your body the being treated. This will be exposed briefly for treatment and then re-covered.

When your treatment(s) is completed you are welcome to linger again in our Relaxation Lounge or spend time in our complimentary Steam Bath and Infra Red Sauna. Take your time and when you're ready to leave our Concierge will settle your account with you and help you book your next visit to our Spa!

Question #2What are the health benefits to visiting a spa?
Answer:In today's world we are all over-worked and stressed out. By coming to Silver Ridge Spa you will leave feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. A great experience for the mind, body and soul.

Question #3Where are you located?
Answer:We are located at 205 Queen Street South in the heart of Streetsville in Mississauga. For a MAP, please click on the DIRECTIONS TAB on our Web site

Question #4Where can I park?
Answer:There is public parking right on Queen Street and on many of the side streets near the Spa.

Question #5What should I wear? Do I have to take all my clothes off?
Answer:We provide wraps and robes for use during services. Most services you either remain in your regular clothing or in a wrap and robe. For a massage, you undress to your comfort level, and are covered by a sheet for your privacy.

Question #6When should I arrive for my appointment?
Answer:We recommend that on your first visit you arrive 30 minutes before your treatment is to begin, at minimum please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment.

This will allow adequate time to fill out an intake form if it is your first visit here, relax and unwind in our sitting room. Arriving late for your scheduled service will deprive you of valuable treatment time. Also please leave your valuables at home as we cannot be responsible for their safety.

Question #7Should I bring anything with me?
Answer:We supply you with virtually everything you need, Robes, Wraps and Sandals

If you are having a pedicure, We recommend you bring loose fitting open-toe sandals that you can easily slip your feet into.

Question #8What do I do between treatments?

Answer:Silver Ridge Spa has a comfortable area where you can relax and unwind. During any Spa package there may be periods of time while you wait for a room to be prepared or for a new service provider.

During this period, you are welcome to relax in our Lounges and our Concierge will bring you snacks and refreshments while you wait for your next treatment to begin.


Question #9How long should I allow for the polish on my hands or feet to dry after my manicure or pedicure?
Answer:Typically polish will dry in 10 to 20 minutes but please take as long as you want! Enjoy the experience of our Spa and linger in our Relaxation Room while your polish drys. If you are having a Pedicure, you may also wish to wear or bring with you open toe shoes to wear home.

Question #10What payment methods do you accept and do NOT accept?
Answer:In the Spa we accept, Cash, Debit, VISA and Master Card as well as Gift Cards and Gift Certificates.

In the Spa we do NOT accept Cheques, AMEX or Discover.

NOTE - When you purchase our services or Gift Cards ON-line on our web site you may ALSO pay with AMEX and Discover

Question #11What about gratuities?
Answer:Gratuities are NOT included in the service prices, but they are always appreciated for a job well done. Cash gratuities are prefered but they can also be added to your Debit/Credit Card Payment, for cash we will provide you with an envelope during check out that you may leave for your service provider(s). Gift Cards/Certificates do not include gratuities.

Question #12How much should I leave for a gratuity
Answer:The amount is entirely up to you, any gratuity is always appreciated. Normally gratuities are 10 - 20% of the service cost, but you are welcome to leave more or less based on the quality of your service and experience.

Question #13Are there taxes on my treatments?
Answer:ONLY G.S.T. is charged on Spa services, there is no P.S.T. on Spa services. NOTE - Any products purchased at the Spa are sublect to both G.S.T. and P.S.T.

Question #14Can I take my spa experience home with me?

Answer:Absolutely - your first visit to Silver Ridge Spa is only the beginning. Continue the experience by buying our Home Spa products to take with you. Our expert staff will recommend products from our extensive line of high quality skin and body care products lines that are ideally suited for you.

Browse through our boutique's vast array of exclusive spa products, bathrobes, gift baskets and much more. You are also welcome to buy Gift Cards either in the Spa or on-line.

Question #15I love my robe and slippers, may I take them home?
Answer:These items are simply on loan to you during your visit to Silver Ridge Spa. But In our Boutique we offer a variety of  types of (brand spanking new..) Silver Ridge Spa robes, spa sandals and Soft socks, as well as Warm Buddy Neck wraps, Eye pillows and Animals,
